Buried Alive

The Captain's first mate was just crying about being "buried alive" with work in his cubicle. Some people don't understand that real work is done with one's hands, outside, and involves risk of injury or even death - including death from being buried alive.
Ontario County deputies have closed their investigation into a freak accident that killed a Phelps man.

Deputies said David M. Crouch, 19, of 2662 Fort Hill Road, Phelps, died yesterday after he was buried under a mound of cow feed.

Mr. Crouch was loading cow silage into a feeder at about 6:15 p.m. when some of the silage pile collapsed, burying him. He was working alone at the time of the accident, according to deputies, at the Fort Hill Farm — a family-run operation that grows corn and raises cattle at 2801 Fort Hill Road.

So man up, first mate. Being busy with paperwork is hardly akin to suffocating beneath a mountain of cow feed.
