Tricycle Built for Six

Happily, this year's Hallow's Eve did not produce an overabundance of tragedies. There were, however, several sad incidents, including four teens killed in a car accident, a car smashing into students and a taco shop, an Atlanta teen who was shot dead for throwing eggs at a Mercedes, and a 3-year old trick-or-treater hurt in a hit and run accident. And to recap what the Captain reported yesterday, a worker had his foot amputated after getting it caught in a pumpkin pulping machine and a 23-year old partygoer was killed while trying to have a little fun sliding down a Chicago hotel's stairway railing.

The most unusual mishap occurred in the Philippines. These fun-seekers apparently never got the memo that you should really never speed on a tricycle with more than five people riding it at a time.

At least six people were injured after figuring in a freak road accident after visiting a cemetery in Quezon City on Halloween night.

Radio dzBB's Paulo Santos said the six were aboard a speeding tricycle along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) when they were hit by a speeding utility vehicle.

The injured were rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital for treatment. Tricycle driver Dennis Baculo suffered serious injuries, the report said.
