Your 40th Birthday Likely To Be Your Last

If you think a flabby mid-section and a few gray hairs are all you have to fear about turning 40, the Captain has some bad news for you.

YOU are most likely to die in an accident at the age of 40 and there's a good chance you'll be poisoned.

[...]

Suncorp Life chief executive Geoff Summerhayes said there were a number of factors in accidental poisoning.

"Self-medicating, overdosing, inhaling toxic substances at home and in the workplace are all incidences contributing to the statistic," he said.

Mr Summerhayes said the most common age to die in an accident was 40.

"Surpisingly it is not the young who are most at risk of accidental death, but those approaching middle age, with 40 years the average year of death across the top five accident categories," he said.
